Network blogging is a collection of blogs on sites that are related to each other. It's not simply blogging and linking between your competitors, it's more understand your competiton, setting your boundries and working as a collalition to improve yourselves and provide better service for your customers.

It's very simple to set up, all you need to do is look at your competition: when you go to networking meetings, you meet people from companies in the same sectors or services as youself. Some people take it as a threat while others see it as an advantge to join forces and create a new collalition against the competiton. There, a network has started.

So, you've now got your little network together, how are you going to get your blogs started and working together? There are a few options open for you:

• Blog apart
  You can all implement blogs on your own site, either by installing blog software or running AnywhereCMS to power your content; and then blog away while linking towards each other.
• Blog together
  This is a much nicer solution. The concept here is to create a new web site that you all blog on, together. It's a much better concept because all your thoughts can be found in one place.

Next time you're surfing the web or at your networking meetings, have a think, would setting up a network with your 'competition' improve your company? The majority of the time, the answer is yes.
