The Mobile Internet

With more people having access to third generation mobile phones (3G) the mobile internet is an emerging niche for your company's marketing

The mobile web, it may sound strange to you, but there are a whole lot of people out there all ready using it! More and more people are getting web savvy and beginning to understand the concept of the internet. They have now started to use WAP, GPRS and 3G mobile internet and have begun to find content while they're walking around, or on the train or looking for a night out! So what's stopping them finding you? A mobile web site!

A mobile web site works the same as a normal web site apart from it being much smaller. Obviously images will have to be down-sized and content can't be as long as it would be on a normal web site.

A very good advantage to the mobile web is that you have the options to find out where your user is, with their permission. So if you're running a chain of restaurants, the user can log into your site, and click on 'Find the nearest'; their location data will be queried in your database of your restaurants to find their nearest.

This is just the tip of the ice-burg, the idea of the mobile web is still fresh, but it's moving very fast so don't miss out and jump onto the band-wagon now!
